Monster Island, The Asylum’s 2019 mockbuster which was released ironically at the same moment as Godzilla King of the Monsters is about an Island called Monster Island. A monster may be found there; the monster is, in other words, the island.


Because this film is about an asylum, it has a similar budget to a large kid’s meal. The film uses it lightly, focusing on a handful human characters and filming all the big stars' sequences (Monster Island (2019) from Decker Shado) at one location during lunch. Let's not forget, this is a film about kaiju, so maybe The Asylum won't do a terrible movie?
